On Valentine’s Day, City of San Fernando, Pampanga Mayor Vilma Caluag announced the removal of the 12% VAT on water bills, effective this March. She also confirmed that VAT collected from November 17, 2025 to February 2026 will be refunded to residents.
According to the mayor, the local water district has decided to eliminate the 12% tax on water charges, meaning consumers can expect lower water bills starting March. She assured the public that the VAT previously paid during the covered period will be returned.
