The city government of Angeles City clarified that it is not prohibiting all motorcycle taxi applications from operating in the city. Instead, officials emphasized that companies must first complete the proper application process and secure the necessary legal authorization before transporting passengers.
The city stressed that this requirement ensures accountability and guarantees that operators have clear systems in place in case of accidents, complaints, or other incidents during trips.
Authorities added that when a transport service is duly permitted and legally compliant, both passengers and riders are better protected. Proper coordination with the government also helps ensure that operations meet safety standards and existing regulations.
Angeles City remains open to modern transportation solutions, provided they are lawful, properly regulated, and safe for everyone.
“Hindi ipinagbabawal ang pag-apply ng anumang kumpanya (motorcycle taxi services). Bukas ang lungsod sa aplikasyon basta dumaan sa tamang proseso at malinaw ang awtoridad na maghatid ng pasahero ayon sa batas,” said Ferdinand Calma, Angeles City Public Transportation and Regulatory Officer.
