Santa Rita once again celebrates the arrival of this year’s Duman harvest — a treasured emblem of the town’s rich farming heritage and enduring Kapampangan identity.
With Mayor Reynan Calo at the helm and through the Municipal Agriculture Office, the Bayung Santa Rita Administration reaffirms its strong dedication to supporting and preserving Duman farming, ensuring this unique tradition continues for generations to come.
Early in Mayor Calo’s term, an executive order was issued to safeguard the Duman legacy. By October, more than 20 local farmers had already received assistance to help sustain the cultivation of this cultural gem.
